The Sg market just went into a mini Bull run for that past week. There is just no concrete explanation for the sudden enthuism except for the better than expected GDP numbers for the last quarter. The strange thing is that just 2 weeks before that, most counters are diving en-mass without and indication of bottoming.

This is one reason why dependency on Charting can be a dangerous to investing. What is not visible are such intangible market influences. The market never react in a preditable manner to the same news on difference intances.

It also goes without reason some of the price movement.. take my recent purchase - STX PO, it just went XD with a potentially handsome return… something in the range of over 10% (yet to the finanlized depending on release of 4th quarter results). The price dipped about 3-4% and then correct up all the wat back to b4 XD!! This is the same counter that got a serious bashing due to some ‘questionable’ (according to some analysts) management action. However, I believe this is one counter to be kept for growth and future div returns!!

All in all, my portfolio sees more than 10% rise in just 1 week for selected counters. A Happy New Year in deed!!!!

2005 has been an eventful year; got into DIY-ing; moved to BIG screen with the BenQ PE7700; holiday in PhiPhi; anime, anime, anime; new passion for indian cusine; lots of personal reflections etc etc.

Looking forward to 2006,.. time to stop the horizontal expansion, better diet? and reign in finances and gazzette for housing and car for potential relocation to Pg!
