Started on :
Full Metal Panic fumoffu - a hilariously funny installment. Read somewhere that it follow the manga very closely. Had wanted to try out this series after FMA (Full Metal Alchemist) but got distracted. Anyway, mighty glad I downloaded it. Now can hardly wait for the rest of the eps to be fansubbed. Thus far at eps 4. Surprisingly, this series is way back in 2003… now only appearing in fansubs.

Full Metal Panic TSR - Only started the downloading… this is the current series (2005). After the excellent experience with fumoffu, could not resist getting this as well. Hopefully can find BT for the 1st installment.

Samurai Deeper KYO (26 eps)
Another excellent series - a cross btw Samurai Champloo and FMA… a bit of futuristic influence, unique character development and lots of twists and turns. Each episode adds another layer of complexity and mystery into the story.

Naruto & Basilisk :-
Very slow, Naruto is on a predictable 1 eps per week. However Basilisk seems to have hit a standstill. The last eps was 16 and that was like 3 weeks back… it’ll be real sad to see this die out at such an exciting juncture.

After a good 5 years, time to update me pc hardware… seeing that I already bought the ESI Juli@ soundcard, better if I setup the new sys inline with the eventual HTPC. (more…)

Major WOW!! Factor.
This IS the camera that I had been waiting for since the 1st release of Canon’s D30 eons back. Unfortunately, I relented to temptation 3 years back when I got the 10D. Back then till now, I am waiting for the release of a FULL-FRAME DSLR in a ‘relatively’ compact size. I find those high-end models with built in vertical grip 1st - ugly, 2nd and most importantly too bulky and heavy.

I though that Nikon would go the full-frame format first which would meant I need to switch system again… but when they start releasing a slew of ‘digital lenses’ I realised that they might not be going in that direction. In fact all the major camera manufacturer show lack of interest in producing full frame units. Even Canon was producing 1.3 crop factor for their newer flagship versions… all seems lost for a full 35mm frame dslr.

Imagine my surprise and excitement when I came across this review of the EOS 5D this morning! Check it out at this link. So I guess an upgrade will be in the pipeline over the next 2 years.
