This is an annual event - time for hifi/av bargain hunting. Last year, I forgo getting a matching B&W CDM NT range of floorstanders. If the current distributors still had stock to clear, I might just get one - to tide over 4-5 years before a major upgrade to a high-end model. (more…)

I’ve offloaded my Hyflux holdings - after soaring to $2.40, then hitting a high of $2.53 last week, I just felt it gained too much ground base purely from the Middle East news. So I decided to cash out my profits all 68% of it. Slightly regretted as yesterday, it went balistic, touching intraday high of $2.73!!! (more…)

I’ve been hit with Jap Anime craze for the past few days.. it all started when Arts Central began showing two popular series from Wed-Fri nights. They are 12 Kingdoms and Inuyasha. I don’t really get the 1st one… kinda confusing and too arty farty for my taste. The 2nd however is totally different… it’s interesting and cute at the same time. (more…)

It is a sad thing that CS is essentially non-existing in Asia; Especially in retail… on my day off, I decided to drop by Apple Center to check out my possible future purchase of a PowerMac. As usual the pretty sales girl dun-noe-nuts about the product she is selling… just standing pretty and greeting potential customers. Fine if your are a fastfood restaurant. (more…)
