Chronicles of Ricky and other writings . . . . .

All we need to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.
It's all in our mind,.. if you don't mind, it doesn't matter.

Hallelujah!! Hyflux hitting $2.40

:fw:

HALLELUJAH:!:
This calls for a celebration. My best bet this year just shot up another 12.14% :bgrin:
It’s just beyond words how the market forces move. One fine day someone just snapped up the stocks and there’s just no turning back… sigh.

The higher they go, the harder the fall?

by @ 10:37 09 pm. Filed under Invest

This has proven true in too many a time. To a large extent it has a lot to do with human psychology - take the counter Noble Group and its spectacular climb from $0.90 to a high of $1.22 in just over 1 month. Earlier it trade btw the range of $1 plus minus 1-2 cents. (more…)

Focusing on groWTH!

The key to success in the market place is GROWTH… and I believe I’ve a winner in Hyflux. The price had moved up more than 40% since I bought it less than 3 months ago. Current price is $2.14 versus bought price of $1.50!! 8)

It is time to seriously relook at re-balancing my portfolio ratio with 60-70% long term growth stocks versus short term trading stocks?

Growing your own $$

by @ 10:41 21 pm. Filed under Invest

Great volatility creates great opportunities - however beware of traps.

A once high flying stock had suddenly dropped in price. Do you have in front of you a great opportunity to enter the market with the potential double digit % upswing? (more…)

Out of time

by @ 10:28 42 pm. Filed under General

Don’t you just hate it when you ran out of time, or to be stuck in between - ie too short to finish something that would take 2-3 hours to complete, and too long to do nothing as it’ll be too much of a waste.

Like today,.. after the seemingly endless week of work, (more…)

And the counter go BOOOOMMM!

by @ 07:11 42 pm. Filed under Invest

Which counter? The name is Hyflux.

Just a month ago it was trading for $1.50; today it hits a high of $2.07 - a hefty 38% jump! And the news that made this possible, a potential joint venture with a middle east investment firm. (more…)

Burning the midnight oil Part II

by @ 07:00 53 pm. Filed under General

I am back in the office for the past 4 days…

All I can tell meself right now is to hang in there… Financial Freedom 2006 is within grasp. As I used to tell my colleagues, it’s just a job. When the going gets tough, the smart moves on… only the stupid get going. So, I shall not bitch too much on this matter.

Burning the midnight oil

by @ 11:58 55 pm. Filed under General

I never thought that I’d be doing this anymore, guess I was wrong. Today some idiotic servers go bonkers and the standby engineer could not put humpty dumpty back together again. I had to interject and hunt down the hen to get them new replacement eggs.

Chasing AV nirvana, Blu-Ray; glimpse of the future

by @ 12:55 10 pm. Filed under Audio/visual

This is a never ending journey as most veteran in the field would confessed.

I’ve got news from Audio Rev on the next generation disc format - Blu Ray; It’s not something new as effectively it was a format first introduced by Sony a couple of months back. It promises a quantum leap in disc capacity, just by using blue laser as oppose to red in current dvds. (more…)

Almost there…

by @ 12:09 18 am. Filed under WebLog

YES!!! The photo gallery is restored.. turns out that I failed to notice some old control files which was copied together during the upload which subsequently corrupted the entire thing. Must keep this in mind for future site maintenance.

Will have to spent time reviewing my old site CSS files and integrate them with the current blogware version. Guess that will be for the coming weekend… just remembered that I’ve to work on Sun morning. That’s the downside of the IT industry - you work at times that others play! Oh, well until I achieve my financial freedom, days like these are routine.
