Continued with the redesign of my website. The main framework and starting pages for each top menu items are now up.
Will be reviewing each old sections and port them over with the new format.

Website admin is alsmost a full time job!

Oops no progress in the website revamp

Had decided to invest time in taking on the linux operating system. Thought that I should upgrade/update myself to current technologies and overall industry direction. Linux has been the craze for the past year with many big names jumping on its bandwagon. Knowing how much hype there is, the ignorant HR in most companies would be looking at this aspect of potential candidate’s resume.

Unfortunately, it is a much harder nut to crack than I had anticipated. After struggling for 2 weeks it really makes me appreciate the intuitiveness of XP. Yet there’s countless discounting it’s flaws 8)- it’s so easy to simply criticise. Xp in many ways would satisfy s/he who wants to acomplish simple/general computing needs. Linux on the other hand is more for the enthusiast. The technical barrier alone in most cases should filter out the general ‘passer-by’. It is very stable, though the graphical interface is in fact more resource hungry than xp - at least that’s my experience.

Anyway, if I really want a unix wks I would go for Apple.

Found a new software to build my online photo albums to a more consistent format, less hassle and better maintainability.
