Chronicles of Ricky and other writings . . . . .
All we need to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us.
It's all in our mind,.. if you don't mind, it doesn't matter.

Had just completed another anime series… all 51 epd. Took me about 1 month, intersperse with work on my DIY speaker.
A slightly more adult theme compared to InuYasha and Naruto. It centers on a socalled ‘theory of equal trade’: To gain something, you need to supply something of equal value. Starts off a little slow but picks up pace from 3 epd onwards. Almost all the epd are linked at some point in the story.
It tell of the adventures of 2 brothers who got into a fix in their effort to bring back their dead mum through knowledge of ‘alchemy’. This sets them on a quest to restore back what they have ‘lost’. The fictional world is rather believable and the rational of the story makes general sense. There’s some interesting supporting character that makes it all gel nicely. There’s also a bit of romance, humor and some moral message.
Verdict:
Extremely entertaining. Wished the story had extended to 3 digits episodes.
Now waiting for the Movie that is rumoured to fix the not so satisfactory ending.
Latest anime craze - Naruto…
The storyline revolves around an outcast kid in a ninja village. There’s humor in the begining but gets into a serious plot from episode 25 onwards. I am currently at episode 125… the latest available episode on the net is 136!
I find this series as interesting as InuYasha with a slightly more complex plot and very interesting twists and turns. The only snag is the draggy repeats and constant flashbacks.
Verdict: Highly Recommended for all anime fans.
I’ve been hit with Jap Anime craze for the past few days.. it all started when Arts Central began showing two popular series from Wed-Fri nights. They are 12 Kingdoms and Inuyasha. I don’t really get the 1st one… kinda confusing and too arty farty for my taste. The 2nd however is totally different… it’s interesting and cute at the same time. (more…)
